First Lady is Lady Brewery’s first ever beer. A really nice and hoppy IPA with citrusy and floral notes. Brewed with Cascade, Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe hops, this one comes highly recommended.

Canned, from Vínbúðin, Reykjavík. Hazy golden, mid sized head. Aroma of apricot and grapefruit. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Crackery malt, apricot, lime and grapefruit. Resinous bitter finish.

On tap at Bj�rgar�urinn, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is quite musty, with earthy hops, fungal notes, and maybe a trace of butter. Flavour is nastily earthy, with a fungal character and unpleasant mustiness. What the hell is this supposed to be? Very bad.

Sweet and malty with some earthy tones. Cloudy copper with a decent white head. Bitter and malty with an earthy finish. Not great.

Tap (Micro Bar, Reykjavik). Clear,dark-golden colour with small head. Full of citrus especially red grapefruit, medium bitterness, dry, medium body, really drinkable.
