Bottle from Borresteijn, thanks! Almost black. Roast, ash, smoke, licorice and dark chocolate in the aroma. Thinnish, alcoholic, roasty flavor with dark chocolate, licorice and ash. Hints of smoked malt and tobacco. Fairly complex, but I expected more body.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery shop, bottled in autumn 2015. Clear, very dark red to black with a huge, creamy, stable, brown head. Sweetish, roasty-malty aroma of milk chocolate, toffee, nougat, coffee beans and vanilla. Sweet, roasty-malty taste of milk chocolate, nougat, coffee beans and vanilla, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, medium roasty finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Not overly complex but quite tasty and well-balanced, thereby rather sweet without any fruitiness. Very nice!

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks tomer. Black with a light brown head. Roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, a bit of hops and a bit of woody spiciness. Bittersweet flavor, roasty, with dark chocolate, a bit of coffee and a hoppy note in a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Solid and quite nice.

Nice stout, with some roasted coffee and cacao notes and slight bitterness. Not very imperial though, more a double stout.

Pitch black color, almost green brown head color. Sweet cocoa nibs, roasted malts. Sweet, malt, but feel the mouth isn’t so balanced and lacks interest.
