Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 22A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L15004. AROMA: tilted towards a nice hop aroma with floral, slight tropical fruits and some pine notes. background malt aroma with some caramelized notes. very faint cereal hull aroma. APPEARANCE: dark ambar color with orange highlights and slightly hazy with some material in suspension. average off-white head with good retention. TASTE: slight sweet malt flavour, combined with a floral and slight tropical fruit hop flavour and some resin. High bitterness that lasts into a semi-dry finish and beyond. PALATE: medium-low body with a slight velvety texture. medium-low carbonation. very slight alcohol warmth and no astringency. OVERALL: a nice and aroma-wise complex Double IPA that lacks a bit more hop flavour complexity. nonetheless very good.
