473mL can, pours a deep dark brown with a medium tan head. Nose brings out earthy coffee, dark fruits and a little caramel. Flavour brings out lots of coffee, dark fruits, caramel, and bready malt. Lots of dark fruit and coffee, with a thick palate. It's not a complex beer, but the flavours are nice. Good stuff.

Nice coffee and malts. Deep clear brown with a decent beige head. Rich and malty with a nice coffee note. Solid.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown colour. There is some residual sugar, hence body, but it has a very simple caramel profile, not really the depth of a Doppelbock; and the clean yeast esters, if any, are hidden by the quite strong coffee notes, that also provide a mildly earthy feeling.
Weird concept to associate coffee to a Doppelbock. Ok beer.
