BBE 18.04.14 - Pours clear orange with a small white head. Aroma of crisp caramely malts, sweet citrus, hints of urinal cake, fruits and toffee. Taste is sweetish, citrusy, malty, caramely and hoppy with hints of fruits and lemon. Finish is lingering bitter, sweetish and malty with hints of citrus and zesty fruits. Quite nicely hopped, heavy DIPA. Would probably be even more better fresh.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was strong pine and resin. The flavor was sweet and tangy pine, resin, a bit of catbox and had a sour off presence. Medium length tangy pine, resin and catbox finish. Moderately full bodied. Ok.

Bottle. Pours with a clear golden yellow hued body with a large, barely off-white head that lasts. Good lace. Aromas are of insanely tropical fruit, dank hops. Somewhat off malt character that I use to refer to as soggy malt or wet dog. Still can’t find a better term for it (its not DMS), and I mostly get it from certain Canadian maltsters more than others. Mildly grassy, fruity, caramel. Flavors are very fruity, a bit alcohol forward, sweet, pepper, lots of grassy and tropical fruit notes. A bit of resiny cohumulone or other deeply harsh bittering sensation in an otherwise not very bitter balanced beer. Light butterscotch notes, warming, fruity, floral. Drinkable and enjoyable, but a bit not to my liking (yeast and malt wise). Good bitterness balance and good hop flavor. Warming with medium carbonation and a slightly fuller body with some minerals at the finish.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Dupont tap ($6): Pours an orange color with a white head. Aroma is a hefty amount of citrus, with grapefruit and orange taking first whistle. Beer is rather hop forward as one would expect, leaving a sustained aftertaste for quite a while. Some complexity in the hop, but mostly this was a showcase for the citra hops.

Tap at Beer Temple - Amsterdam. Pours clear gold with a fine, white head. Ripe citrus and caramel in the nose. Big sweet flavor with some sticky citrus pectin. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming and sticky to finish, lots of gooey orange and other citrus, marmalade. Moderate lingering hops. OK.

Bottle from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours amber gold with a yellowish head. Aroma is pine/cat pee. Nearly full bodied. Flavor is burning citrus/resin hop. Strong caramel backbone. Comes across like a highly hopped barley wine. Killer ale.
