This Imperial IPA was stuffed full of wet hops to the point where they were brimming over the top of our brew kettle. It gets it's name from one of our brewers struggling so hard to stir the mash because it was so dense that he snapped the stirring paddle right in two. This is a big bold Imperial IPA that focuses on being balanced in all aspects (hoppiness, maltiness, alcohol levels).

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Hazy golden colour. Smell of green apples, freshly cut wood. Soft mouthfeel, light residual sweetness, some malt base, lightly biscuity, apples.
Not a disaster, but close.

Tall can at Alex's. Pours a bit hazy golden with a weak white head. Aroma is very strange with lots of green apples. Taste is similar. It is bad.

473mL can, pours a cloudy amber oragnge with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out earthy hops, some resins, and bready caramel malt. Flavour is quite grassy and herbal in the hop department, with a bit of skunkweed, and backed by bready caramel malt. Not the most inviting hop character, but it works okay. Decent.
