Amerikaanse Amber Lager of Red Amber. Lichtzoetig in het begin met een hopbitterheid in de afdronk, een zachte, moutige smaak en tonen van karamel en grapefruit. Een ondergistend stoombier dat door zijn relatief lage alcohol percentage prima geschikt is als aperitief of als begeleider van Franse kazen en paté. Inmiddels is de Brutus een klassieker in de horeca.

Bottle. Foamy head. Amber color. Citrus, pepper and caramel in the aroma. Firm citric earthy grassy hopbitter flavor. peppery with hints of caramel. Nice one!

Roodbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is licht zoet en licht bitter hoppig met iets van pruimen, karamel en wat houttonen.

Caramel, peach, red apples, slightly herbal, a little boozy, grains, grass. Loads of IPA character, lovely hop notes. Wait - Lager?!

Draught @ Maximus (meaning this is from their own kettles, not from de Proef). Amber color, slightly hazy. Dense off white head with good lacing. Aroma's: grainish, caramel malt. Retronasal it's caramel, sweetish, aromatic hops. Flavor is moderat sweet, caramel, moderate bitter. Light medium bodied. Finishes with caramel, then firm bitterness, quite dry. Nice.

Bottle from Pivotéka Nitra. Nice aroma of red berries. Tastes medium bitter but still rather fresh. Damn, I know this taste very well but cannot recall what it is at all. Good!
