Amerikaanse Amber Lager of Red Amber. Lichtzoetig in het begin met een hopbitterheid in de afdronk, een zachte, moutige smaak en tonen van karamel en grapefruit. Een ondergistend stoombier dat door zijn relatief lage alcohol percentage prima geschikt is als aperitief of als begeleider van Franse kazen en paté. Inmiddels is de Brutus een klassieker in de horeca.

Flesje gedeeld met familie bij de Bomkelder. Amberkleurig troebel bier. Kruidig aroma. Smaak is kruidig en hoppig. Nasmaak is bitter en ebt langzaam weg.

330 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a dense, lacing tan head. Aroma has malt, toffee and ripe fruit. Flavor is sweetish malty, toffee, fruit and moderate bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Drinkable but quite straight forward.

Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Clear, dark amber with an off-white head. Sweetish, malty and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, honey and some orange jam. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, honey, orange jam and a touch of pine, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little dry finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very pleasant!

hazy orange to amber colour, huge, creamy yellowish-beige-is head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of orange zest, pine and tropical fruity notes, bread and biscuits; bittersweet taste with the same notes; amazing amber lager!
