Chocolate and licorice aroma. Nearly black with small light tan head. Bitter licorice flavour, bitter chocolate malty and warming alcohol. A little rough but nice enough.

Bottle. Pours cloudy nearly black with small tan head. Clear aroma of malt, wit notes of caramel, chocolate and coffee. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt and chocolate, with notes of roast and coffee and hints of fruit and hops. Warming but not disturbing alcohol presence. Fruity and roasty afteraste with bitter hints of alcohol. Good. More palatable than the excessively boozy imp stouts.

Bottle, 10%. Faint fruity aroma. Almost black colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is roasted and fruity with a good alcohol note in the finish to balance. The bitterness is a bit rough, perhaps too much bitterness from the alcohol. The barrelled version I liked a lot better, perhaps this would improve with a few more years in the bottle.

Tap@Fermentoren, Copenhagen - pours black with tan head. Dark roasted malty aroma and taste with chocolate prominence, some coffee, caramel, dark dried fruits, vanilla traces throughout into a solid roasted finish. Very nice!

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours dark brown with very small head. Aroma of syrup, dark chocolate, liquorice, coffee. Taste sweet syrup, alcohol, salty liquorice, balancing bitterness. Smooth mouth feel.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 15.06.15. Very dark brown. Small beige head. Brittle, burnt caramel and dark syrup in arom and taste. Lacking complexity. [6/3/6/3/12=3,0] Rerate 19.04.20. Bottle shared with JFE, BG, AE and JMD at Vaaland Brygghus. Better now, with prunes, dates and dried fruits.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass dark black, nice head. Awesome malty-earthy aroma. Starts very srrong, intense malty, earthy, more and more stouty, notes of liquorice. Finish well balanced, warming-malty. Great!

50 cl. bottle poured in to a Snifter. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Sweet, roasted aroma with roasted malts, liquorice, light coffee and alcohol, dark chocolate and a rich, lactic sweetness. Taste is sweet and roasted. Full body with an oily feel and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and roasted, filling and sweet with chocolate malts and liquorice. Nice, rich Porter.
