Side by side with 2013. Still boozy, of course, but does seem to be getting a bit old. Flavours are muddled, bit of vanilla, mellow bourbon. Considering the ABV, it's quite easy drinking.

Pour is a black as the ace of spades with no head at all. Aroma is roasted malt and booze on top of booze. Flavor is a nice roasted malt smoothness with more alcohol. The alcohol was not totally hot but there to let you know this is big. A bit too much alcohol to give this a better score. There are better Impy stouts out there at half the alcohol.

Black as the night this one. As it should be. Quite pleasant and mellow aroma with a fine intensity. Quite decent sweetness for a beer at this level. Lasting tail. Coffee, chocolate, toffee, vanilla and oak in the flavor. Boozy, but no sticky alcohol coming up.
