Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Raisin, rye bread and just a hint of roast in the aroma. Full bodied. Dried fruit, roast and rye bread in the malty sweet flavor. raisin. Alcohol partly hidden. Not too complex, but very well brewed beer.

Bottle shared thanks to deanso’s cellar full of 5 year olds. He has to get rid of them before the police raids him. Very dark brown with very short lasting head. Sour green apples, lots of licorice, light coffee, dusty, cardboard, toffee, raisins, quite some alcohol. Over medium sweet with alcoholic bitterness. Medium bodied with slick feel and no carbonation.

750ml bottle [Leibier, #1081]. Hazy dark brown colour with late awakening, small, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma has hints of liquorice, a fruity touch of grapes, berries, some milk chocolate. Taste is initially bitter, roasty dark malty with bitter hoppy overtones, later slightly dark chocolately, fruity hints of grapes and dark berries, a good deal alcohol. Slightly inharmonic, unbalanced, and not overly rich for an Impy Stout.

Bottle, thanks to John (jmgreenuk), split at Colin and the Vikings tasting, Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14 as Jopen Leibeer. Light black with moderate tan spotting and edgework. Nose is big roast, spice, herbal tinges, liqourice, mineral notes, earthy cocoa. Taste comprises mellow dark fruits, light booze, chocolate, dark toffee fudge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light booze in the close. Decent easy drinking impy, not hugely complex but ticks all the boxes.
