Draft @ Moeder Lambic, Fontainas.

750mL bottle, pours hazy golden orange with a big white head. Aroma of orange peel, citrus and Belgian yeast. Heavily carbonated palate mutes some of the taste: flavour of citrus, orange, yeast, and muted caramel.

750ml Bottle pours out a golden topped with a thick cream head. Aroma was of spice and herbs. Taste was more of the spice and plenty sweet malts. This bottle was a little past its prime. Plenty of oxidation going on. But still drinkable.

Imported from my RateBeer account as Blaugies La Moneuse Speciale Noël (by Brasserie de Blaugies):
Aroma: 8/10, Appearance: 4/5, Taste: 6/10, Palate: 4/5, Overall: 12/20, MyTotalScore: 3.4/5
Pours a dark amber clouded beer. Fine laced and small white head that disolves quickly. Smells very yeasty upon opening the bottle. After that mainly sour apple and sour cherry with a wood smell. Tastes acidic spicey, followed by a sour aftertaste with clear hints of roasted malts.

Bottle shared with Craig, picked this up at Dranken Geer’s, Oostakker, Belgium March 2010. Had this at my gaff, on third night of tasting 10-04-10 Refreshing aroma, spicy, fruity touch tart, these attributes were also present in the mouth. Soft in the mouth, spice really starting to show, nice stuff. A7 A3 F7 P4 Ov14 3.5

A golden ale with a thick creamy off white head. A light creamy malt aroma, with light catnip and herbs. In mouth, a smooth crisp malt, with coriander, a bit oxidized, light and smooth, medium bodied....but this didnt age very well. Bottle was about 1 year old. Bieropholie import.

Watery brown color with an edge head and no significant lacing. Aroma of light malt, caramel, and coriander. Flavor begins with Tab soda, then progresses to malted milk balls. No kidding. Good body. Interesting winter ale, worth trying.
