Cask. Poured amber with an eggshell head that lasted a bit. Aroma was a nice combination of earthy malts and piney hops. Flavor was a bit more bitter from the hops but still an earthy flavor quite present.

Cask at the Fox & Hounds, 29 Passmore Street, London SW1W 3HR, England on 11th November 2009. Amber with a white lasting head, though mainly diminishing. Citric hop aroma and some bitterness rounded by slightly caramelised malt. Light and easy drinking, slightly textured mouthfeel and a dry finish. I havenโt drank this beer for quite a few years, and was pleasantly surprised by its taste.

[Cask at Lyndhurst Ale House, Reading] Pours light amber-orange, negligible head, slight sparkle. Bitter lemon from the start. Some minerality in the middle, and a floral note in the dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Itโs rather hoppier than I like my bitters, but I can still appreciate itโs a very well put together beer and imagine it has many devotees.

Cask, Nobody Inn, Newington Green, London. A pretty snoozy effort sadly. Amber colour with a thin white head. Some fairly muted fruity/malt hop goings on in the aroma and flavour but nothing to really grab the attention and hold it. Had my hat and coat on and was down the road for better things before this one was finished.

Cask at Cockney Pub, Aarhus. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Light malty heavy hoppy aroma. Strong grass and herbs notes. Moderate bitter nice flavor. Heavy bitter long nice finish. Creamy palate. Good stuff.
