A dark style of beer made so by the use of unmalted roasted barley. Despite the low alcohol content has a full mouthfeel from the use of oats and crystal malts and displays complex malt flavours of baker's chocolate, dark fruits, raisins and cocoa from the use of specialty malts. Finishes rich and full with a low level of bitterness.

946ml can. Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, short lived, brown head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and oats. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, chocolate, raisin, oats and a hint of smoke with a slight bitter coffee finish. Light body with a creamy, smooth texture and soft carbonation. Tasty, well balanced and easy drinking.

Draft - Intense dark roast and some toast. Jet brown with a small head. Dark roast and light toast with a decent finish. Great for the ABV, but not quite the normal Oatmeal Stout.
