Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Farmstead® ale is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur.

On tap at the brewery taproom. Pale golden coloured, small white head, funky nose. Funky, tartish fruity, touch of yeast and rather tart finish. Refreshing.

0,75l from bottle at Ninja, Stockholm. 20230718. Yellow clear color, small white head. Smells spices, earthy, corn sirup, peppery. Nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes corn sirup, earthy, spices, bit light struck, peppery, tobacco. Finishes lightly dry and lightly bitter with notes of corn notes, earthy and peppery notes. Good, but not overly special. Gets a lot better once it warms

Op tap bij Borefts '25. 2024 editie. Mistig, goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Licht funky, vrij zuur, citroen, floraal, druiven, redelijk droog, licht hoppig. Meer sour dan saison wat mij betreft, niet helemaal mijn smaak. Lichte body.

SBS with the Foudre. This is soapy on the nose, slightly muddier, all damning with faint praise TBH

Fofa draught, 8/2/25.
Clear, bright, deep bronze with a solid, white head.
Beautiful nose, with rustic grains, aged hops and a profound, but well-aged peppery saison character. Very bright, fruity, lush and clean with very little sign of its age. No oxidation.
Quite attenuated at this point, so getting a bit thinned out in the mouth, but still possessing a richness of flavor with plentiful rustic grain and lots of peppery saison yeast. Bright fruitiness and aged hops linger.

Bottle shared with the boys.

From tap outside De Bierkoning, Amsterdam, during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2017. Aroma is tart lemon, lots of citrus, light funky. Flavour is tart and medium sour with a light hop bitterness. Body is medium. Refreshing and well-balanced, very good.
