Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Farmstead® ale is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur.

Creamy white collar on a hazy dark lemon coloured still body. Bitter Bret aroma with pith. Medium to thin body, soft & smooth on the palate. Lemon, Brett, pith & calcium

01-05-18 // taster at Cantillon Quintessence 2018. Forget to take notes on this beers, what a shame, but I know that it was a lovely american Saison with a good funkyness.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade. Hazy, golden colour with a thin white head. Tart, fruity aroma with green apples, wooden notes, vinegar, yeasts and bretts. Taste is sour. Medium bodied, drying palate. Bone dry finish with tart fruity notes. World class Saison.

Fräsch och lätt syrlig med friska toner av gula äpplen, päron, gröna druvor, citruszest, honungsmelon, mycket kryddig brett och stall. Lätt blommig med viss honungssötma, lätt fläderton, något sträv med fin syrlighet.

Just hazy gold with a wisp of white head. Aroma is tautly funky with old lemon, laundry, that limey/ Riesling touch. Taste is along those lines with some hard spices and minerals. Quality pale crackery malt has great length. Gentle finish with just a lean towards dry and modest bitterness.

Bottle. Color: Hazy yellow golden, white head, nice lacing. Aroma: Saison Brett yeast, yellow fruit. Taste: Complex and very balanced mix of moderate sweet, slightly tart moderate sour and light bitterness. Bit grassy. Notes of citrus, lemon. Brett yeast is clearly present and gives this beer a funky and barnyard-like touch. Hints of wood and apple. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Very nice, very tasty and superb balanced top Saison in my opinion.

Tap at Godspeed, 8th July 18. Pours hazy with a small rim of head. Aroma is grass, hops. Taste is super funky, grass, tart, refreshing, mouth puckering, bitter, citrus. Really very good.
