33cl bottle. Orangish colour with a frothy, creaamy, moderate lacing, good lasting, white head. Aroma is hoppy with notes of pine and peach. Flavour has notes of resins, pine, orange peel, peaches. Bitterness at the beginning and at the end. Carbonation is medium. Texture is slightly oily. Body is medium.

A hazed dark amber IPA with a thick frothy and lacing mocha head. In aroma, strange complex mix of caramel malt and catty pungent hops, with a touch of sulfur. In mouth, a smooth sweet caramel malt with nice herbal and resinous hops, smooth lingering bitterness, quite nice. BB 22/10/10. Still good! Bieropholie imports.

33cl bottle at the Brauhaus. Pours a hazy amber with a lovely head. The nose has white flowers and grapefruit. The taste is grapefruit and pine. The palate is medium structured and textured with a clean zingy finish. Overall, a delicious, well balanced beer.

25/11/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Bevuta al Mikkeller Single Hop Festival. Ambrata, leggermente spenta, schiuma bianca morbida, mediamente persistente.

11.2oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a cloudy burnt orange with a huge amount of frothy white head. Very strong aroma of pine hops with a slight bit of caramel. Definitely dominated by hop oil. Taste is just as intense as the aroma. Strongly bitter, very nice pine and grapefruit notes here. Medium bodied with a thick and oily texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish that is probably going to stay with me for the rest of the night. Overall, very good. Something I will gladly drink again in the future.

One bitter bastard. Not too much so, but enough to make you curse. The appearance is smile-inducing, hazy to near-opaqueness, amber with tons of yeast beasties flailing about in the murk. Smells tangy and ripe and stinky, like pot and body odor and cat pee, but in the unique, delectable way only IPAs can achieve. Grapefruit and grass hit your tongue first, immediately followed up by a pinestraw bitterness that never leaves. In fact, it grows in astringency as the beer fades, providing quite the penalty for enjoying the fruity, herbal front. Creamy texture, for sure, but that finish will keep me from coming back. 12/11/12/12/5/12
