Dark. Roasty. Layered. One of our four original core beers, Diesel Fitter is an American Stout that’s as bold as it is complex. Deep roasty, espresso notes meld with a substantial earthy-citrus-resiny hop presence and they all come together and are topped off with a full, medium carbonated body. Perfect for fall days, dark beer lovers will find this a particular favourite, but if you like hops, give this one a shot, it’s a great example of what hops can offer in a fully malted out beer. This one is for you OG Torque fans! Serve in a pint glass and try pairing with roasted meats, strong cheeses or vanilla ice cream.

On tap at Torque, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out robust roasted malt upfront, with a touch of espresso, and a touch of dry cocoa. Flavour is highly hopped, with a robust roasted malt character upfront, a pummelling of hops, and a touch of espresso. Roasted, bitter finish. This is excellent.

Smells of smoked beef jerky, strong meaty barley. Has a very dark muddy brown body and dark beige foam on top. Flavour is sharp barley, soft coffee hints, chewy dark chocolate. Nice and drinkable, full and sweet.

Draft - Coffee and some dark roast. Jet brown with a decent beige head. Dark roast, light coffee and dark chocolate. Nice bitter finish.

Draft@The Common, Winnipeg. Browny black beer with a good head. The aroma is roasted and strongly bitter, and the flavour is deeply roasted with plenty of bitterness. Overall a nice stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
