Dedicated to the beauty of a new spring morning with the first sun rays warming the blossoming flowers. Nuova Mattina pours a hazy orange color with a scent reminiscent of field flowers. A complex, intriguing, voluptuous and thirst quenching ale, a hopeful hymn to the day that lies ahead. Brewed with ginger, coriander, green pepper and chamomile

Golden fading into light orange, slightly hazy but still transparent. Big frothy head, ok retention and nice lacing. Soft and sweet but nicely intense aroma shows mainly floral (chamomille, wildflowers) and fruity (peach + a bit of citrus) notes, with a distinct spiciness to add some life. Taste notes follow the aroma, with a white bread/dough base and slight honey. Overall this is a very sweet beer but not cloyingly so and it still feels nicely refreshing. Light bodied with medium to high carbonation, a bit sub-par for a saison, however this is actually something between a saison and a sweet belgian ale. Still, a very easy and nicely soft mouthfeel. A very good beer.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden with sediment floating around and a large, fluffy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Spicy, floral aroma of wheat malt, coriander, ginger, citrus fruit and soap. Sweet flavour of wheat malt, citrus fruit, yeast, grass, coriander and ginger with a spicy, dry, bitter, pepper finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Tap. Italian Job, Chiswick, London. Opaque, creamy yellow. Messy, sticky, white head. Saison breadiness. Soft herb. Vanilla malts. Soft, floral hop. Taste is soft, floral sweet. Soft, foamy mouthfeel. Dries toward the end, whilst staying floral and aromatic. Nice saison.
