The Monk’s Stout Dupont is part of the Brewery Dupont’s history. Indeed, it was produced in the 50’s. The aim is to revive this stout while maintaining the name and the design of the time.
Created in 2011, this dark beer is characterized by a dry and bitter taste. The use of roasted malts lends a well-pronounced taste of coffee and chocolate. The hop flavours remain perceptible though.
Top fermentation beer with a refermentation in the bottle.

Bastante rica

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of roasted malts and cola. Flavors of are pretty much the same sugary cola and bitterish acrid roasted malts; plus some ash. On the positive side, easy to drink.

Poured from 33cl bottle (L24011A; 02/2026). Very dark brown with full beige head. Super ashy, a bit thin, some dark fruits, somewhat harsh. Above average.

330 ml bottle. Murky black with a fluffy creamy head. Arabica coffee beans, funk, lemon zest, licorice, cocoa. Mild dry sourness, some roasty malty sweetness. Medium to light bodied, oily watery, fizzy carbonated, dry sour toasty malty finish. A very interesting Porter, very funky, almost Wild Ale like, but what else would you expect from this brewery, however too much carbonated.
