The Monk’s Stout Dupont is part of the Brewery Dupont’s history. Indeed, it was produced in the 50’s. The aim is to revive this stout while maintaining the name and the design of the time.
Created in 2011, this dark beer is characterized by a dry and bitter taste. The use of roasted malts lends a well-pronounced taste of coffee and chocolate. The hop flavours remain perceptible though.
Top fermentation beer with a refermentation in the bottle.

Tap at Moeder. 4.11.2016. Relatively dry, finishing with notes of roast. But in the beginning and middle it feels thin and empty. Thin bodied. Easy drinking, but there could be more in a stout. 3,3 Rerate at a tasting, Zil verne, 2/2020. There is assertive spicy phenolics present besides the plentyful roast. Good. Dry, thin, high carbonation. Easy drinking. Good one.

At a tasting, medium lively fluffy head, aroma of grain, glue, hay and mould, woody soapy flavor with a hint of candy in the back, dry and harsh. Bad.
