16oz (thx, Alex!) in Golden Ears shared with Andrey and Alex on the Alouette lake beach. Appearance: murky golden with a white head. Aroma: a bit boozy, sweet, fruity. Taste: along the same lines with interesting creamy notes. Overall: good one.

The aroma has big sweet juicy hops, fresh orange juice. Pours with good cloudy orange body and modest foam. Flavour is chewy chunky piney orange, sweet and resinous but nothing is overbearing. Mouthfeel is perfectly smooth, right amount of oiliness, alcohol is invisible. This is a very very good big IPA. --- Beer merged from original tick of Another Moody IIIPA on 28 May 2021 at 21:54 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7. Original review text: Cloudy orange body and some modest foam. Smells of good tangerine, orange zest. Taste is good pine and pineapple, ends full and crisp and quite zesty. Very nice, alcohol invisible.

Nice citrus peel. Cloudy yellow gold with a decent white head. Citrus and a malty sweetness with a peel finish.

2021-05-15, can from The Gull, North Vancouver, 7-3-8-4-16=38
The can is ~3 weeks old, very expressive hops, lightly dank too.

Cloudy blond colour. The malt base is bold, but also crisp; it's a bit on the sweet side for a modern IIPA, but still ok; the hopping is good, very resiny, with a quite strong dank character too, and some English hop leaf in the aroma as well (sweat).

No, Berko got it wrong: the current batch is still from Moody, brewed ca. March. Cloudy blond colour, light dankness, it's fairly juicy, moderately sweet, quite balanced overall.

03 Jul 2018. On tap at Moody Ales, pours a cloudy bright blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals moderate dank hops, with some pot, a little pith, and biscuity malt. Flavour is surprisingly well-calibrated, with piney, dank and citrus hops, light pith, and biscuity malt. Dank and pine, with just a bit of booze. One of the best Moody beers in quite some time.

On tap at Another Beer Co, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, pine, and sweet caramel malt. Flavour is not too sweet, with lots of resinous hops, plenty of pine, and sweet biscuity malt. Balanced really well, with a west coast piney hop character. Really nice.
