Draft - Caramel and toffee. Deep ruby Amber with a small beige head. Sweet and malty, as it should be. But why?

On tap at Matchless, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted bready malt, toasted nuts and a hint of caramel. Flavour is nicely malty, with toasted caramel, light dark fruitiness and some toasted nuts. Wonderfully malty, with a fruity finish. Excellent take on the style.

Draft 10 oz pour at the Red Hook Brewpub. A midnight red pour, thin film head. Love that Matchless continues to kill it with the hoppy beers, then remains solid with the unique styles as well. Sweet and bold bready malt aroma. Flavor has a good mix of spice, and dark fruit, with song, drawn out toasty finish. A little too sweet for my usual taste. Very flavorful. Good beer.
