This beer is an amalgamation of styles; brown/porter/APA. Five distinct malts, including two from Belgium, give this beer added complexity and depth. We also add oatmeal to this beer to give it a smooth texture not usually associated with this type of beer. We add large amounts of American finishing hops to give Bender a citrus hop aroma because... we like hops. This is a session beer weighing in around 5% alcohol and 25 IBUs. Grab one today, we think you will want another!

Admin Note: Discontinued in 2019, but occasionally turns up on draft.

Purchased at Binnys in Chicago, IL, enjoyed at home while watching football. Appearance is a very dark brown with a red hue at the base and a large bubbly off white head. Aroma of oats, light molasses, toffee, light chocolate, very nice. Taste goes down very smooth, rich in oats, light vanilla, toffee, really nice stuff.

16oz can. Unfiltered brown-burgundy body. Frothy beige head. A pretty solid Brown Ale, with some nice malt depth. The oats sort of make me associate it with Stout up front, but a nutty toffee caramel malt flavor firmly secures it in Brown Ale. Fruity ale yeast undertones. Good, a touch better than average.
