NELSON SAUVIN: This incredible aromatic hop variety from New Zealand has deservingly won a place in our hearts. With soft white winey and lychee flavours, Nelson Sauvin is like a sophisticated lady who likes to drink afternoon tea, but talks your ear off about how she just fixed her lawn mower with a paper clip and some aluminum foil like MacGyver.

This edition of Monogamy was brewed with Nelson Sauvin hops and has notes of white grape, black pepper and key lime pie.

Bouteille 500ml, gracieuseté de msjpearson, Thanks Mike! Couleur dorée pâle voilée, mousse blanche onctueuse laissant une belle dentelle. Arôme d’agrumes, juteux, houblon résineux, malt pâle, poivré, herbacé. Goût d’agrumes, malt, bonne amertume, poivré en fin de bouche. Carbonatation moyenne-élevée, corps moyen.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a large white head. Aroma brings out loads of the tangy citrus hops and like grassy skunky notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with uber fresh tangy hops, light citrus, and light biscuity malt. Super fresh and well-balanced with a perfect bitterness. Excellent.

I recently had BW Double Nelson, their Double IPA using Nelson hops, so trying this extra interesting. Missing the orange-citrus that DN had, but the bitterness and onion is there. Softer cerial malts supporting. Not in love but not bad.

(tap) clear yellow amber colour with a small white head; aroma of tropical fruit, honey; clean, balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish

Awesome beer. All kinds of aroma going on here. Some haylike hops with citrus and some a little on the funky side that adds a wicked swing on the palate. Pours pale cloudy copper. Some booze as well. Pours with good initial head and lacing. Tap at brewpub.
