Tutta la carica aromatica di una IPA poggiata su un letto di malti scuri. Ha un ampio spettro di profumi che vanno dalla menta alla resina di pino, dal cacao tostato alla buccia di agrumi. Amara e piccante ma anche ben bilanciata. Mai giudicare solamente con gli occhi.

Bottled (BDX). Quite much black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is fruity, some mild toasted notes as well as some resiny and mild ripe fruity notes. Flavour is quite similar, with a mild tone of very dark roasted coffee as well. All in all pleasantly fruity and quite sweet.

On tap at Jopen Proeflokaal Amsterdam. Almost black, beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, liquorice, roast. Flavour is medium sweet, light ashy, malty, pine, liquorice, some grapefruit, leafy bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Meh..

Bottle @ Kulovy Blesk, Prague. Pours pitch black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, rich piney hops. Flavor is malty, cofffee, chocolate, fruit, grapefruit, pine. Medium body, lively carbonation, light bitter finish. 250815

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a reddish brown. Once again a massive head from just a careful pour. These guys seem to have carbonation issues with their bottled beers. Herbal, medicinal hop aroma - cough syrup. Medium body, now the carbonation appears almost flat. Heavy roast, a little harsh. Black IPA’s are rarely smooth or balanced and this is no exception from that rule. 070715

BBE 30.11.2015 - Pours pitch black with a thick foamy head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, grassy hops, pine and resin. Taste is smooth, roasty and heavy with licorice notes, some grassy and resinous hoppiness and pine. Finish is heavy, sweetish and roasty with some grassy hoppiness and resinous notes. Quite a heavy black IPA.

Bottle from Bier-Deluxe. Black with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and moderate hoppy - pine and citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 030715

Bottle kindly shared by Miro, many thanks. Very dark brown color with light beige head. Caramel, citrus hops in aroma. Roasted malt, coffee, citrus hops. Nice hoppy bitterness in coffee bitter finish. Very good.
