Introducing a new addition to the Hoyne Brewing Family, Alpha Acid IPA replaces Devil’s Dream IPA in the core lineup. Big additions of Idaho 7, El Dorado and Azacca make this hazy, tropical IPA extra juicy. Brewed with the addition of wheat in the North-Eastern style with a great balance of hops, malt and mouth feel.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick curtains of lace. Mild aroma of grainy pale malt, generic citrus, floral and weedy hops. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, grapefruit, cantaloupe, floral and light piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with a slightly oily texture and soft carbonation. Meh, a bit disappointing. Boring and a bit thin.

Smells of juicy hops, has a light gold-copper body with very little foam. Flavour is chewy sweet hops with some sour hints. Mouthfeel is full enough though a bit sugary. It's an okay IPA though not too exciting.

Bottle from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Hazy golden to light amber color. Mild aroma of piney and herbaceous hops, hint of spruce. Dry mouthfeel, with a lean grainy base, light body. Then some hop resins and moderate herbaceous finish.
I would call this a Pale Ale rather than the self described IPA, it's good with food, but the malt is distracting and the hops no so bright, so not very modern.
