An imperial stout brewed with an Aztec inspired spice blend of Ancho Chili, Cinnamon, Cocoa and Vanilla. The spice character on this beer is meant to be warming, not hot. The ancho gives off delicate dark fruit and raisin character along with a warmth that beautifully accents the cinnamon. The cocoa adds a decadent dark chocolate bitterness while the vanilla's sweetness brings everything into balance.
Expect lots of warming spices on the nose while the palate is dominated by bitter cocoa, vanilla sweetness and dark fruit.

This can was not kept refrigerated through the summer; it clearly shows presence of Brett, with excessive carbonation (but not gushing), some Brett in the aroma, and more in the flavour, apparently less sweet that usual, and with less spices (either because covered from the Brett or faded). One can still tell that the starting beer was very good, and it's still drinkable, but yes, there's some Brett at the brewery.

Black colour with large creamy head, I wonder if they are pushing some nitro. Aroma of chocolate and cinnamon, spices. Very smooth (yeah, nitro), rich dark chocolate flavour, the cinnamon renders some cocoa as well, hint of tobacco, then a subtle blend of spices; it seems sweeter in the finish.
It was a good beer last year, and I'm glad to see that they managed to brew a new one at least as good.

The aroma is mild; it has a very good chocolate flavour, with moderate cinnamon; it seems less spicy than the 2019 version, more chocolatey. I have the feeling that it's fading.

Spicy aroma, between cinnamon chocolate and chai tea, lots of cinnamon indeed, and some cookie; a bit dusty. Good body, moderately sweet, not thick; the roasted malt dominates, there is some dark chocolate, and strong spicy character.
Monodimensional, but rich and well made. And, once again, much better when it warms up.

The brown head is generous, but disappears quickly. The aroma is roasted coffee and spices. When cold, the rosted character dominates the flavor, with the spices; while it warms, more delicious dark Belgian chocolate pops up, with a bit more sweetness, and a hint of vanilla that was more hidden from tap.
Great.

Black color, no visible head. Aroma of spices and chocolate, cinnamon, with a touch of tar and rubber. Full bodied, the flavor comes in waves of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, cinnamon, too strong to show any vanilla, with moderate sweetness; pleasant warming alcohol in the final.
Wonderful.

On tap at Twin Sails, pours black with a small brown head. Nose brings out lots of cinnamon, spicy peppers, cocoa and medium roast. Flavour is very rich, with cinnamon, cocoa and light chilis. Super rich and milky palate. Wonderfully balanced, with a great addition of everything. Excellent.
