Bottle thanks to Pollack. Pours clear amber brown. Off white head. Nose of plum, grain alcohol, raisin, toffee and cocoa. Taste of sage, grain alcohol, plum, wood, toffee and raisin.

Bomber from Half Time. June 2010/Batch Six. Pours a very hazy, very dark brown with a creamy 3 finger beige head. Aromas of smooth dark malt and prunes. Med body. It’s very creamy in the mouth. Flavor is smooth dark malt with lots of plumminess. Certainly spicey. Very nice ale.

tough to figure out at first, which seems to be a theme for pretty things, and after meeting Dan and his wife at a tasting, i can see why. i think its about opening peoples minds about what beer is and what it can be. i suppose i went into this one with a preconceived notion of how it would be after reading the label and seeing that it was made with dried plums. the flavor at first was not my thing, the dark fruit flavor, but after a few sips i really took to it and relaxed and enjoyed it for what it is, a new old beer that is taking the reins of what we’ve had before in a apt/quad and extending it to something that will not be boring or normal. very enjoyable.

On tap at the Stags Head. Pours a dark ruby coloration with frothy head. tastes of middle earth, plums and other dark fruits, bubblegum, nutty, hoppy withs some booziness on the end. pretty thing this little beer is.

Bottle courtesy of Jacob on 06/28/2010. Batch 4, bottled 2010. Cloudy orange body with a medium creamy tan head. Sweet spice, fruit and dark malt aroma. Sweet dark malt flavor with spice and caramel. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

Tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours cloudy, brown-maroon with a moderate, off-white head. Deep aroma rife with ripe fruits, brown sugar and dark malts. Flavor is sweet with malts, plums and figs, along with some yeast, bread and spices. Medium in body with average to fine carbonation. Finishes sweet with some Belgian candies. A highly drinkable Quad.

A clear brown ale with a thick collapsing brown head. A pleasant aroma of burned caramel, plums, orange peels, dark fruits. In mouth, a superb sweet and bitter belgian ale with loads of dark fruits, a good bitterness, in finale, like a bitter liquor made of wild herbs, with warming alcohol. Wow! Taste early July 2010.

Aroma: The nose has some dark fruits, spice, some Belgian yeast, and caramel
Appearance: It pours a dark orange color with a cloudy beige head a top it
Flavor: The taste is moderately sweet with a dark fruit feel, malty, with a mild hop presence
Palate: This beer has a nice warming feeling to it, a medium body, and a pretty decent mouthfeel
Overall Impression: A pretty solid American-style quad. I liked this one. It was a little lighter then a lot of the huge Quads that exist out there, but I thought it was still pretty good stuff.

Bottled Feb 2010 - lightly hazy burgundy beer - thick film of lasting lace - spicy nose with some mild phenols (mostly clove), dark fruit, wheaty tang, kumquat - fairly dry and spicy for the style - not without its sweetness, mostly in the form of charred malts/caramelized sugars, but the yeast is kicking out enough dry, spicy character to keep it rather subdued for the style - spicy and almost toasty through the middle - plum and other dark fruit arrives late, along with some chocolate - I pick up a light bit of funk - interesting, but not as impressive as the other beers I’ve had from them.

Bottle sampled at Firefly, pours dark amber brown. Aroma of caramel malts and plum. Flavour is dominantly plum, not very sweet for a Quad, but very fine on the palate. Excellent drink.
