Can from the brewery/distillery. Pours dark brown. There is a huge frothy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and chili. Medium body. Flavor is chili and chocolate, lots of chocolate, with a touch of lactose. A bit on the sweet side, but the chili compensates. Nice drink.

Bottle found somewhere in Nanaimo. Has a medium dark brown body with decent brown foam on top, average smell of vegetably barley and baker's chocolate on the nose. Flavour is chunky dark barley and chocolate with vague sharp chili sort of balancing out the sweetness. Chewy mouthfeel, nice and full at least. An okay stout, good and sweet, nice texture.

Bottle - Dark chocolate, cocoa and a touch of chili. Jet black brown with a rich light brown head. Rich and thick with some chocolate and heat. Silky and smooth and although not very complex, well done.
