Thick yellowish beige head, dense, over opaque brown beer. Alcoholic, liqueurish nose, biscuit, liquorice, plywood, dark malts, dried dark fruit. Wryish, breadcrust, underlying malty sweetness; again dried fruit - figs maybe. Slight coffeecream flavour. Very spritzy carbonation, well-bodied, slick to viscous, faint alcoholwarming. Short aftertaste initially. Lame-ish for a ’Quadrupel’ (whatever that might be, but it sounds big).

330 ml. bottle -> 10 cl. tasting glass @ “2de Bierproeffestival van De Dijleschuimers”. Dark amber brown, little head. Nose is herbal mocha, sugar, licorice. Taste is oily sugar, caramel, syrupy, caramel, biscuit, rather metallic. Slick caramel & metallic body. Old school NL take on Belgian beer, not really interesting or inspiring for me. There are far more interesting things coming from the Netherlands these days.

Bottle 330ml (from Edo I think)
Dark brown color, good beige head. Liquorice, some milky notes, caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Liquorice, caramel, berries, toasted malts, raisins in the sweetish flavor. Lingering liquorice in the aftertaste. Covers alcohol in the flavor well.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks Stas & Vova. Hazy brown with floaties. Aroma of malt, dark fruits, caramel, sherry and cardboard. Sweetish flavor, slightly salty, with malt, some dark fruits, caramel, oxidation and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied.

33cl bottle, from beerhunter111, (or MrHangover), anyway, thanks! Deep mahogany color, thick off white head, came rushing out of bottle. Sweet dark fruits, brown sugar, spicy notes in aroma. Full bodied, very smooth. Nicely balanced beer, alcohol is hidden. Raisins, yeasty notes, spices, candy sugar and toffee. Long finish.
