Tasty quadrupel. Fruity, malty and a bit sweet of course. Especially the raisins are present, which is nice.

Dobre tresciwe se spora bezowa i kremowa pianka. Spora i trwala jak na ten gatunek. Czarne piwo z lekkim odciemiem machoniowym. Slodkawe, cukier brazowy wyczuwalny, nieco osadu, ale niewiele. Prosta i czarna etykieta. Alkohol ukryty. Przyjemne i smaczne piwo. Sadze ze nadalo by sie idealnie do starzenia.

33cl Bottle from Secret Sint, cheers! Deep dark reddish brown colour, beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, brown sugar, light spicy, plums, some currants. Flavour is sweet, malty, dark fruits, brown sugar, hint of spice, more sugar, decent bitter finish with some alcohol. Medium-bodied, a little fizzy. Nice, but lacks a bit of depth to be really great.

2009 vintage bottle shared. Pours cloudy brown with a small tan head. With the age beer has developed towards the porty side of age, with a dank mouldy cellar aspect, overripe dark fruit and caramel. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at the Croydonia Tasting, thanks to Leighton, 13/07/13. Murky amber brown with light floaty friends (fiends?), decent sized off white covering. Nose is bready malt, rich dark fruit, woody notes, light booze. Taste comprises dark fruits, mellow nutty tones, sugar, touch of booze, toffee. Medium bodied with bite, soft carbonation - smooth an drinkable, dry finish. Decent enough quad, not too boozey and pretty drinkable.

Bottle at the Croydonia Tasting - East Croydon. Vintage 2011 that I picked up in Amsterdam a while back. Pours lightly hazy amber with a creamy tan head. Nose of sweet malts, mellow meat, caramel, ripe semi-dark fruits, brown sugar. Big sweet flavor with ripe fruits, apple, molasses, rich bread. Medium to full bodied with fine, average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with more ripe fruits and light, dry toffee. Lovely quad, very drinkable.
