Rather than a typical Imperial Stout, which quickly decimates you and buries you in the yard, this delicate beauty wraps a warm scarf around your neck and just tightens it, ever… so… gently. Exclamation point optional, but preferred.

Tasting notes of chocolate, caramel, light roast, light nutty notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation, light creamy mouthfeel. For only 3.5% ABV, this had very nice flavor and body.

Keg at Mikkeller & Friends. It pours black with a minimal white head. The nose is roasty, coffee, liquorice and a touch of sweetness. The taste is roasted malt, light bitterness, liquorice, cocoa, caramel and toast with a dry finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Fairly straight forward stuff. No great depth, but it is balanced and pretty drinkable.

A deep dark stout with a thick creamy brown head. In aroma, a nice sweet sweet milk chocolate with creamy notes, nice. In mouth, a rather run of the mill stout with light powdery character, grassy hops, so-so. On tap at Mugs Alehouse.
