Amber, small beige head. Burst of hops that don't seem to mesh with the overall beer. Unblended, and unpleasant with diacetyl notes…. AVOID this drain pour...4-3-4-1-8 May 2022 Newer Version much better. Diacetyl is gone, light malt sweetness with mild hop finish... seems more of a standard bitter than an ESB

Aroma is modest hints of hop orange, has an okay clear medium copper body and just a bit of head. Flavour is odd fusel alcohol with sugar and hints of brown sugar. Mouthfeel is medium but leaning toward kind of weak. It's simply okay and nowhere near the ESB style it purports.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy amber color. Pukery smell, wet paper. Dry mouthfeel, flavour is along the same lines with smell. Good grief, I can't drink this.

On tap at Silver Valley, pours a clear caramel golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted caramel, English bready malt and a hint of English hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with a solid balance of English bready caramel malt and beer light hops. Appropriately constructed and actually quite true to style. Solid.
