High Five is an American IPA brewed at Dugges since 2007. Five types of high alpha acid hops create a well-disposed bitterness and bring out abundant notes of grapefruit, tropical fruit and pine.

This beer is another one of those beers that has been around since our early years. Though, it has gone through some changes over time. We wanted to brew an American IPA. We wanted it to have and aroma from which you could pick up everything that you like with the style. To achieve this, we hopped and dry-hopped it with five, high alpha acid, American hops. And, almost by default, it got its name. High Five! Initially, this beer clocked in at 7.5%. But in order to make it a little lighter we took it down to 6.5.%. And, while the hops are still the same, we've increased the amount of hops and dry-hops numerous times. Because, times change. And, even though you got a hop-punch from this in 2007, the amount of hops in it then would not have given you one now. But since it's more, a lot more, you do!

330ml draught at De Klomp where it was beautifully served in a tulip glass. Low, but lasting, dense white head. Hazy orange coloured body. Inviting IPA smell, that is a plain fresh, hoppy fruity scent. Mouth filling and well hopped taste of orange fruits and succulent grapefruits added by malty sweetness and complemented by a dry bitter tail. Paired with meat (Linköping, 14.09.2010).

500 ml bottle. Hazy reddish brown body with a big off-white head. Strong hoppy aroma of citric fruit like grapefruit and lemon. Flavor is malt and caramel with a fruity and pretty bitter finish. Most of this beer is about hops, still its balanced and well made. Great IPA.

bottle at Gotheborg beerfest. pours copper, beihe head. Aroma is hoppy, malty, floral and yeasty that clearly marks it as a Dugges. Taste, malty, hoppy, balanced with light grassy/floral palate that is not overly bitter.

Bottle. Thanks omhper! Dark hazy amber color with a huge rocky beige head (takes a very long time to pour the whole bottle). Aroma of pine needles, a bit of citrus, tropical fruits notes and light cookie-ish maltiness. A rather bitter hoppy flavor with some pine and some fresh citrus and a bit of sweetish maltiness. A pleasant lingering bitter finish. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Very tasty.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are rich with hops, fruits, citrus and malt. A bit too much citrus.
