Has a nice huge solid beige head on a very dark brown body, aroma is malt forward with soft licorice hints. The flavour is chewy pumpernickel, hints of rye bread. Mouthfeel is refreshing and alcohol is well hidden. Not nearly as in your face as some other imperial stouts but this is a more casual and malty approach, and it's working well.

Bottle - Roast, earthy yeast and some chocolate. Dirty deep dark brown with a small beige head. Earthy, metallic and very thin. Hard to believe this could be so bad.

Not quite as bad as all the ratings suggest, but nothing amazing. Cloudy black/mocha with tinge of red. Some smoky malt. Has some lacing and head. A little sweetness in finish, some sourness. Light hops. On tap at brewpub

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with light head. Aromas of chocolate powder and chalk with a hint of biscuits. Metallic and sour. Can’t really get much of the flavors after this assault. Bizarre.

Bottle from Central City Liquor Store, Surrey
Black color, with small head. Moderate aroma of roasted malts, with very light notes of bread and acid. Good body structure; unfortunately a lingering acidity is immediately perceived and spoils the experience; besides that, there is some dry chocolate and roasted malt; all indicates this could be a good beer if not flawed.
Note: the label has dents corresponding to the year (?) 02, the month 08 and the days 2 and 29; confusing

Bottle: Poured a clear black color stout with a big dark foamy head with some good retention and small ring of lacing. Aroma consisted of vinous notes with some sourness. Taste was also dominated by some sourness and some rotten grain. Body was thin and watery. No traces of roasted malt or hops were discernable. This appeared to be a bad bottle and based on prior ratings seems there is quite a few out there.

Bottle from Enniskillen; either infected or a new flemish sour stout; Nose is tartness and chocolate; clear brown with a small tan head; flavor of coffee and vinegar; would of liked some fresh!

A burgundy accent to the dark brown body. Loose head. Almond shell, hints of herbs, a bit of roast and light diacetyl feature in the nose. Sweet flavour with only hints of roast and chocolate.
