Bottle, 22oz. A cute looking, clear golden beer with a dense, finger thick off-white head. Fruity and candy like aroma with fruit caramel. Not much reminiscent of a hefeweizen, but not half bad either. The same goes for the aroma, there’s not much hefeweizen-ish going on, but it’s fruity and candy like flavors are quite pleasant. Medium body fullness, too low on carbonation for a weizen, but well suited for this beer. Smooth. Rather short finish. A boring beer missing the style quite significantly but it’s decent and drinkable. 101126

Bomber from Whole Foods Market, Fair Lakes. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin head that dissipates quickly. Bready aroma with a bit of citrus and caramel. The taste is citrusy with bread, caramel and a spicy finish. Medium bodied. Decent hefe.

22 oz bomber Bottle. Light amber pour with a short white head. Aroma is yeast, wheat and lots of fruit notes. (smells like a cider )Taste is big apricot, light banana, wheat, yeast, and a little sweet malt. Body is light and the carbonation strong and bubbly like champagne. If you like apricot, you will like this one. I find it very refreshing.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with no head at all and large, not very pretty bubbles and an almost thick look. Aroma of lemons, fresh wheat, yeast, bubble gum, bananas and a dose of apricots - nice. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong clove and cardamom flavour couples with the wheat and yeast nicely with a pungent banana and bready taste. Aftertaste is slightly sweet, definitely wheatie and yeastie and also showing some bubble gum flavours. Overall, a good representation in flavours of the german hef, but the look and finish aren’t truly there. Good to sample, but with the price, I’d consider another beer - even for the style. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 31-July-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 24-September-2010.

Bomber from Oak Tree. Pours hazy orange gold with a foamy white head - 2 fingers. Aromas of peach/apricot over arguable wheat. Medium plus body with foamy carbonation. This is fruit and spice - suggesting a Belgian of some sort. Hefe? Could be. It’s very different and pretty drinkable. Finishes mildly clove I believe. None of those sometimes nasty hefe leftovers. Good beer.
