Gluiperd is een blond bier met appel, peer en vlierbessen uit de streek. Het is een verraderlijk bier, want de frisfruitige smaak maskeert het stevige alcoholpercentage van 8%.

Bottle. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a minimal sized off-white head. The aroma has lots of grains, cellar and hay, with a fruity, soapy and perfumed touch. It’s rather sweet on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Bitterness, fruityness, grains and cellar in the flavor. Dryish towards the finish. Medium body. Rather poor this one, partially unpleasant. 141024

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is banana, caramel, malt and yeast. The flavour is medium bitter with a sweet malt slightly liqourice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a slightly oily texture. Rather nice and very drinkable. My first beer from this brewery and I am looking forward to more.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours clear golden with a small off white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, caramel, light banana. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter, very malty in the palete and not tripple like in this aspect. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottled, BB Dec 2014, large sample. Clear golden color, short white head quickly diminishing until just some tiny lacing remains (in a glass that usually shows tremendous lacing). Aroma is spicy reminding of westmalle (westmalle yeast?), slight floral hop, hint of fruit (less fruity as the test or homebrew versions). Slight sweet taste, quite spicy again, hint of bitterness. Some fruity notes in the finish as well, but mostly dry. The fruit is not that present this time, but more the spicyness from the yeast itself.

Tap @ Drie Dorstige Herten. Hazy yellow to golden color, medium white head. Aroma of belgian yeast (ofcourse), so a bit spicy, but not too much. Quite fruity as well, some grainy notes. Slight fruity sweetness in taste, medium dry. I prefer Tripels a bit more dry; this one is a bit sweeter. But because the yeast profile is controlled, it is not a big estery mess like some others. Very decent brew, just not my personal taste.
