On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is toasted malt and roast. Medium body, caramel, nuts, light finish, good.

Draft - Light nutty twig. Deep clear brown with a decent beige head. Earthy and toasted cocoa with some twig.

Draft @ the brewpub. Had this a few times now, pours a deep chocolate brown with a smaller tan head. Aroma is roasted and toasted malt, light cocoa, and some sweeter underlying tones. Flavor is roasty and sweet. Faint bits of cocoa. Fairly basic, but it reminds me of simpler times when I enjoyed this style more... this is well done and probably won’t get a lot of excitement from those that seek the big, bold, and daring, but I’ll certainly have it again. And again.

On tap at the brewery. Dark chestnut brown with light tan head. Big nutty light roast malt flavors. A little papery and a chalky feel. Nice flavors, full bodied.

Draft at the brewery. Cola colored pour, minimal head. Nutty aroma, turns kind of sweet. Bone dry finish. Body seems watery. To reitetate: nutty, sweet, dry.

On tap at mad Swede brewing. Pours out a dark brown topped with a sand head. Nose is light toasted nutty notes some sweet chocolate touch. Taste is more of the roast nutty notes and a sweetness.
