On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper with small beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is caramel, toasted malt, candi sugar. Medium body, toffee, spice, candi sugar, boozy finish, very good.

On tap at pub Boise. Pours out a crisp caramel color topped with a creamy sand head. Nose is nice sweet caramel toffee heavy malts and some spice. Taste is more of the sweet malts a nice muted hop and nice end. This has had a year on it and very nice.

Excellent barley wine, smooth despite the high abv. Lots of malt, light brown in color, skimpy head, but excelent all around. Beware!
