Enormous light beige creamy lasting head over deep dark red body. Light, clean roasty licorice aroma with notes of caramel and fruit. Taste is deep, clean licorice with burnt notes and hoppy notes. Clean, smooth mouthfeel. Dry licorice aftertaste. (0.3l bottle.)

Starker röstmalzerner Geschmack, der im Nachgeschmack noch deutlich stärker wird. Zudem ist das Bier besonders im Mittelteil recht alkoholisch. Guter Massenbock. Test vom 3.8.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,9,9,9,8,10 - 9,55

330ml bottle bought at the IN.KA supermarked in Platanias, Crete. Delicate dark brown on colour. Thick off white foam. Sweet smell of malt. Coffee flavour with hints of chocolate, honey and nuts. Well masked alcohol. Roasted malty finish. Enjoyable (29.05.2006).

Bottled. Dark amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is wooden, a bit roasted and raisiny. Flavour is malty, with mild roasted hints as well as a big alcoholic peak, which reminds of plums, but not quite as sweet though. Wellbalanced, though a bit "boring" after a while.

Bottled 30cl (BB 09/2006)
Dark nut brown, small brownish head. Grassy, oaky aroma, light roasted malts too. Medium-bodied. Flavor is dominated by licorice and roasted malts. Hides ABV quite well. Salty, bitterish finish. Nice drinkable bock.

(bottle) Clear mahogany colour with a medium sized foamy beige head. Aromatic sweet malty, slightly roasted nose with caramel and liquorice. Medium sweet initial maltiness with a peppery and liquorice spicy and moderately bitter finish. Tasty and quite balanced Bock with a good “alcohol management” and even somewhat character. (Greetings to my friend and dentist pivnizub !)

Bottle: Amber coloured, thin white foamy layer, toffees, fruits and malts in the nose, traces of molasses too; mild sweetish, toffee-like and malty taste; short and mild bitter-sweet finish; well hidden alcohol, but warming; a quite well rounded, decent brew; but if You drink too much of it, You better go and see Your dentist :-) !
