Tasted as Amstel Herfstbock. Warm reddish brown beer, creamy full cream colour head. Malty sweet aroma, caramel, some toast. Flavour of sweet malts, some roastiness, caramel, alcoholic sweetness. Hints of dried plums and honey. Slight metal taste sticks to the palate. Relatively light on hops. The characteristic Amstel sweetness that I dislike in their normal beer comes to it’s right here. One of the better of the big Dutch breweries’ Herfstbok’s (from tap, notes from Herfstbock tasting session)
