Bottle.Dark hazy amber colour with small head.Aroma is smooth and creamy with hint of brown sugar and rasins nice smooth and with hint of caramel and malt.

Much different than the german versions. Clearly the belgian yeast comes through, and not clean lager yeast. So it has the raisiny qualities, but this doesn’t seem like a bock to me. Although it is a very good beer. Perhaps too bitter. online belgian beer factory bottle

Bottle. Nice clear brown color with ruby shines, and with a big thick creamy brownish head, with some lacing. Aroma is dark malts, taste is malty, there is bitterness, sourness, dried fruits, licorice, some kind of tannine notes. Well bodied, medium carbonation. Quite different from the usual Bavarian doppelbocks, but a nice beer.

La Trappe Bockbier, Fläschchen von Drink Drunk, Berlin. - Tiefdunkles Rotbraun, trüb; enorme Schaumbildung. - In der Nase üppiges dunkles Malz, warme Karamelsüße, mild aber aromatisch krautiger Hopfen, leicht weinige und zart holzige Anklänge. - Antrunk weich dunkelmalzig mit reicher Fruchtigkeit, die an ein obergäriges Bier erinnert, während eine gewisse gerstige Härte doch auf die untergärige Brauart hinweist. Anklänge an Mokka und Birnengeist. Sehr aromatische, frisch krautige Hopfenherbe. Milder rezent, füllig und weich. Perfekt kaschierter Alkohol. Etwas trockener, schön hopfenherber Abgang mit Bitterschokolade. - Hochorigineller, durch belgische Starkbier-Traditionen bereicherter Bock. Unbedingt wieder!

Barwa miedziana, piana wysoka, po chwili ulatuje bez śladu. W aromacie wyczuwalne nuty karmelowe, chlebowe oraz lekką ziołowość. W smaku bardzo podobnie. Alkohol lekko rozgrzewający, nasycenie wysokie, goryczka minimalna.

75cl bottle from Sandersput, Ninove. Thanks to Anke! Pours hazy dark brown with a huge, lasting, frothy, tan head; irregular lacing. Aroma of plum jam, raisin, fig, pistachio, chestnut, tea leaves, (sour)dough, red apple, faint lemon. It tastes light fruity sweet, balancing apple & plum, yeasty with a sour touch of raisin & lemon, hint of dough; and light to medium herbal bitter with a nutty edge. Dryish, bit tart, herbal hoppy finish, lingering plum, bread, lemon. Medium to full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Rejoice, autumn is here!

330ml bottle from RusBeerShop in Moscow. Pours brown with a beautiful tall beige head. Aroma is caramel, dark malt, dried fruit. Taste is medium sweet, dried fruit, caramel, raisins.
