300ml bottle @home. Bruna/rossiccia, intensa, bel cappello di schiuma avorio, molto persistente. Al naso caramello, frutta candita, zucchero di canna flambè. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con chiusura amara luppolata. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Eccellente.

Bottle from Beer Zoo. Hazy brown body with a thick beige head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel and earth. Flavour of copper and wood. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Very fizzy. Way too fizzy but the flavour is pretty good.

Barwa miedziana, klarowne, piana jasnobeżowa, dość obfita, dość trwała. W aromacie słodowe, karmel, opiekany chleb, nieco melanoidyn. W smaku słodowe, karmelowe, skórka od chleba, przypieczony tost, nutka alkoholu. Goryczka niska, delikatnie do średniej, wysycenie i ciało w normie. Nieco brakuje koźlakowości do dobrego koźlaka, ale jest niezłe.

Big frothy head. Hoppy, somewhat peppery aroma and flavor. Just a hint of cinnamon that somehow overpowers the roasted malt. Long bitter aftertaste. Very well made bockbeer, one of the best Dutch bockbeers, in fact. Blindfold test 2005 version. Herbs, yeast and sugar in the aroma. Yeasty flavor, very herbal. Chocolate, grapes. Not too well balanced, still a good beer (5 4 7 3 13 = 3.2) 2006 version: malt and licorice in the aroma. Sweet, caramelly flavor with roasted malt, laurel and licorice. Long roast aftertaste. tasty bockbeer. Well done, Lowieke!

Creamy light brown head stayed on a thick reddish brown still body. Demerara, raisin, spices & yeast aroma. Medium bodied, thick & creamy over the tongue with a good carbonation on the back & a cloying aft. Raisins, dark berry & lactose tastes to the front quickly changing to bitter berries, spices, dark spirits, burnt & long tangy finish.
