Draft - Lots of pine and some big roast. Jet black with almost no head. Dark roast, sticky and syrupy with a bitter piny finish.

Draft at Taphouse. Blown away....This is near perfect.Black pour, with creamy beige head, lacing covers the glass. Huge roast aroma, some chocolate sweetness. Taste is spot on, big roast grains, hops, some vanilla, some chocolate. Bitterness lingers forever, along with some nice dark chocolate flavors. Loved this.

Draught at Beer Mongers, Portland
Black color with brownish head. Plenty of roasty malts and resiny hops, but not ashy, it’s moderately sweet, full bodied, and the imperial dimension is a good choice for a CDA. The aroma is also a bit cheesy, which I appreciate.
Excellent.

On tap at Belmont Station's Bier Cafe, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out a great mix of roasted malt and piney hops, like a well-balanced black IPA should. Flavour is super pungent, with loads of roasted malt, dry dark fruits, and potent pine hops. Impeccably well-balanced, without any harsh elements. Damn fine flavours. Fantastic double black IPA.

Growler thanks to the Boise crew. Pours a dark brown color with a medium white head. An excellent fruity nose with light chocolates. The flavor comes across as a massive very fruity, light resiny hop forward brew, some lighter chocolate and roast. Excellent.

On Tap at the Brewpub pours out a dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. A nice hop aroma. It looks crazy a black double IPA. Very tasty

On Tap at the brewpub. Dark brown clear with a small light tan head. Aroma of mostly hopps but a touch of dark roasted malts as wel. Flavor was like a lightly roasted IPA. Didn’t taste very "double"ish but an unusual combination of malts makes this IPA the color it is. Ballanced and mellow for a IIPA and goes down easy for what was explaind to us as "just under 10%" ABV
