On tap @ Beer Temple. Amber colored, hazy. Sticky, off white head with good lacing. Aroma’s: resinous, sweet & sour fruit, some malty sweetness, also some roast retronasal. Flavor is medium bitter, a bit roasted, hints of malty sweetness and acidity. Body is light. Finishes with some roast, fruity and finally bitter. Was maybe a bit aged, but still quite tasty.

Medium beige head. Hazy deep amber body. Caramelly raisiny aroma with citric kiwi notes. Dry-sweet roasty raisiny taste with resiny kiwi and chocolate notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish resiny dusty raisiny aftertaste with earthy spicy kiwi notes. Lovely, vivid, clear, and highly drinkable. The malt profile reminds me of US beers. (0.3l draft at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen.)

From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours hazy dark orange with a small tan head. Aroma is pine hoppy and toasted malty. Dry, bitter, pine and light wooden. Bitter and toasted malty finish. Dry pine hoppy finish.

Draft. A hazy yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma has notes of lemons, hops, grass, and crisp malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, lemons, hay, and minerals, leading to a bitter finish. The body is light.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy flavor with some toffee hints. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter finish.

From a 330ml bottle on 6/2/2011. Pours a cloudy dark orange. Has a moderate hoppy aroma, with some pine and citrus fruit. In the mouth, there’s some more sweet fruit and toffee, with medium though quite long hop kick. Has a very creamy body. A decent crack at an IPA, though not in the same class as Jamieson’s Beast, Feral’s Hop Hog, or a raft of excellent American IPAs.

Super hazy, muddied ruby coloured brown body with some copper and bronze highlights and a very thin, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of metal, peaches, nuts, caster sugar, alcohol, pit fruits, raisins and a touch of light hops - definitely not the strongest of the scents though! Medium-bodied; Strong metallic and malty flavours show up first, then fade to a hoppy overtone and a bit of a raisiny and pit fruity (almost like a barley wine) flavour. Overall, an okay IPA, definitely not what i’m used to from American IPAs, but showing a lot of malt, a lot of raisins and a lot of character from this beer. I sampled this 330 mL bottle purchased from SlowBeer in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on 31-December-2009 for AU$4.30 sampled at home on the other side of the world in Washington on 06-September-2010.

Bottle. Murky copper, tight beige head that fades quite a bit. Savoury malt and hop aroma. Hop aroma is predominantly grass and citrus, but there are pine, flowers and herbal touches too. Medium to full body. Fruity sweetness with big but subtle bitterness. Perhaps the finish could linger longer.

Earthy red pour with a thin covering of off-white head.Aroma has lots of grassy hops, lots of sweet fruit notes. Grapefruit, peach, apples and pear. Underlying sweet toffee malt is definitely not forgotten.Nutty/toasty cereal malt is first impression upon tasting, followed by an impressive long-lasting bitterness characterised by a slight grapefruit hoppy note.Quite highly carbonated. Nice heavy mouthfeel though.Much more malt driven than several other IPA’s I’ve had, which I’m quite partial to.
