Massive! Roasted espresso, dried fig, licorice, and incredibly deep rich malt flavor. "Do you know what those things can do? Suck the paint off your house and give your family a permanent orange afro."

Gift from Pruf. 16oz can. Oily black looking. Aroma has light chocolate liquor, sweet cocoa, light acrid and roast black malt. Flavor is interrupted by a thin mineral character that interferes with the chocolate liquor. Acidic bordering on sour thinning out the beer. Not a big impy stout and not acrid. But acidic mineral and thinning make it less fun.

16 oz can poured, with much thanks to Pruf for the can. Pours a dense black with a tan halo head. Soft roasted malt aroma with a cola like note to it. Flavor is creamy chocolate, soft coffee bean, vanilla, and has a melon like sweet flavor to pair with. Must be a coincidence with the other flavors going on, but results in a very unique, but still strange overall taste for a stout. Doesn’t come off as imperial. Not really that kind of sweet, or heavy in body. A beer that gets better as it goes, but is still difficult to really figure out after much time. Interesting, yes. Pretty good.

Can thanks to Chad. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, cocoa, wood, vanilla. Medium body, roast, dark chocolate, wood, dry finish, good.

On tap at the brewery. Black appearance with a brown head. Aroma is fairly mild with some chocolate, roast, and smoke. High boost. Plenty of smoke and roast. Eh

Sample at the Brews Cafe "Spring Forward" beer festival on 03/09/2013: Brownish-black color with a medium tan head that recedes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Roasty aroma of coffee and malt, with some chocolate. Medium-bodied with flavors of coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate. The finish is semi-sweet chocolate and more coffee. Pretty good overall.
