Bottle at home, cork almost went through the roof, but to my surprise a gusher did not follow in its wake. Smells funky, grainy. Aroma is malt, grain, bread, yeast, light fruit, some apple, barnyard, herbs and spices. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a little bitterness in the dry finish. Body is medium, carbonation is high. Nice bready spicy funky Saison, a bit peculiar and not the most stable, but good.

Bottle. Surprisingly drinkable considering the slightly boozy aroma. Herbal, taste is dry, minerals. Rubbish rating after quite a few drinks. Rerate: 14/11/14 aroma is tripel sweet and fruity, strawberries and graininess. Taste is good, pear, bit of citrus, sweet, slightly medicinal. Good stuff. Nice body, somewhere between a tripel and a saison. Not of tropical fruit later on. Nice.

Corked bottle. Golden color. Citrus and floral spicy notes in the aroma. Some rest sweetness in the fruity, spicy flavor. Tropical fruit. Firmly carbonated. Dry, slightly alcoholic finish.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a clear golden with a huge and frothy, white head. Sweet, rotten, unclean aroma - very Belgian. Medium body, sweetish fruity, very dusty and moldy, unpleasant chemical esters, dry and bitter finish. I honestly never understood the fuzz about Hof Ten Dormaal, and this does absolutely nothing to change that. 201217

Bottle. Slightly unclear golden body with a huge, creamy white head. Very pleasant aroma of spices and herbs including oregano with malt and fruit. Flavor is medium sweet malt, fruity, spicy, herbal and some yeast. Medium body and smooth aftertaste in the same direction. An interesting, original and well balanced beer. Highly enjoyable.

Aroma is strong skunk. Appearance is a soap sudsy head and scum. Flavor has a bit of fish at first, then is a little sweet tang and not a lot else. Bit of a let down from Stillwater. Sure don’t understand this high rating, although I acknowledge it is in green glass.
