In the great beer producing country of Belgium, some brewers have made it a tradition to give their beers an unusual name. Sometimes the name is curious, now and then it is diabolical and other times it is just plain silly. Damnation is our brewmaster’s interpretation of a Belgian style Strong Golden Ale. It has extraordinary aromas of banana and pear with mouth filling flavors of sweet malt and earthy hops. The lingering finish is dry and slightly bitter but very, very smooth.

375 ml bottle, bottled 09/01/15.
Dark golden, clear body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, slightly yellowish head.
Aroma of yeast, dough, sweet bread, ripe sweet fruits, berries, candy, some spices.
Taste follows this, with additional honey notes.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes yeasty, sweet, a bit dry, a bit spicy, fruity.
Very nice. Yeasty and quite sweet, but really well balanced, very smooth to drink. Not among my favourite style examples, but enjoyable nonetheless.

0,375l bottle at home shared by 4 from trade with amzngwrldfood, big thanks. Bottled 09.01.2015. yellow rather hazy color, small white head. smells belgian yeasty, spices, peach, light sweetness, light coriander, a bit doughy, very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, spices, belgian yeasty, coriander, peach, light alcohol. finishes lightly dry and peppery with notes of spices, citric notes and belgian yeast. good stuff, greatly balanced.

Bottle, bottled 011316 (from beergium). Pours golden with whiteish head. Aroma is sweet, fresh fruits, apricots, perfumy. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fresh fruits, apricots, malt. Finish is apricot bitter. Alcohol is well covered. Overall: very good.

On tap in the Encinitas Ale House on 7th May 2016. Golden amber pour, full white foaming blanket on top. Mild malty nose with a yeasty, spicy note or two. Taste is a combination of those malts, yeast and spices from the aroma combined with a citrus twist and woody flavours, very pleasant.

On tap at Russian River Brewing in Santa Rosa, CA-USA. Clear gold color, a bit shy. Decent white foam. Nose: Belgian yeast, pears, rich spicy aroma. Mouth: mirrors the nose, exciting Belgian character, reinterpreted I think. Dry/bitter finish. Tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft sample at the brewpub, Santa Rosa. Pale yellow golden coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head. Aroma is clean pils grains, light Belgian yeast, lemon, light funk. Flavour is composed of semi Sweet, honey, heather, lemon, wheat. Complex and drinkable. Lingering lemon rind numbeness. Palate is light and delicate, frothy carbonation. Good.

Pours light yellow. Big white and foamy top. Beautiful lacings. Belgian yeast comes out strong, creamy koogelmoogel. Taste is funky, sweet and bitter yeast also there. Sweet but not really strong, soft Belgian... Super flavourful but probably full pint would take some time to finish. From Russian River.

Bottle thnx to Rob ! pours clear blonde, small white head. Smell is grainy, bit sweet, bit bitter. rich yeastyness. Taste is bit bitter, sweet, fruity yeast ( overripe fruit, belgian style ) Grainy, nice body, touch high carbo, but it really suits the style. Nice
