33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Almost black colour, light beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, tobacco, dark fruits, alcohol, molasses, ash. Flavour is hard roasted malts, Belgian chocolate, alcohol, red wine like tannine bitterness, tobacco, hoppy and heavily roasted bitter finish. Itβs all a bit harsh but not unpleasant, actually I quite like it. Medium bodied.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Very dark brown, almost black with a firm tan head. Roasted malts and coffee in the aroma. Taste is bitter but with still some fruitiness. The roasted malts are a tiny bit overdone in my opinion, dark roasting is fine but this has a hint of burned toast in it. Still a great beer and I will surely resample

Bottled @ home, bought at the local Mitra. Dark color, thick frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, grainy rye, some mocha, grapefruity hops, hint of blackcurrant. Strong malty taste with a firm fruity bitterness. Starts with a slight citrussy bitterness together with almost vanilla-like sweetness. In the end it gets more dry, chocolaty and with a slight alcohol burn. Im glad i bought a whole box of this stuff, so I can drink this all year round instead of just during xmas :-)
